Andrew McGahey


Andrew is the Director of TEC, and established the business in Sydney in 1991. Andrews's key roles include business development, client liaison and project direction. Andrews extensive experience in vegetation management and broad scale ecological restoration project planning and execution spans urban bushland management, ecological consulting, creek-line reconstruction and stabilisation, solutions and techniques in sandstone capping, large soil translocation and reconstruction of native plant communities. As one of the bushland management industry's most experienced professionals, Andrew has pioneered innovative solutions and techniques that are used in a wide spectrum of applications.

Andrew's breadth and volume of practical experience and knowledge in ecological restoration projects is an invaluable resource to the consulting division and our clients.

Robert Blackall


Robert is the Project Manager of Environmental Consulting at TEC and has over ten years experience in environmental planning and management in various roles within both the public and private sectors, working on large infrastructure projects to small single lot developments.

Robert has a background in bushland and natural resources management, and specialises in environmental impact assessment and project approvals delivery.

 

Brett Morrisey


Brett is a Project Officer in the Environmental Consulting division. Previously Brett was employed with the company as a Bush Regeneration Supervisor and he has extensive experience working in and managing bushland remnants throughout the greater Sydney Metropolitan area including the Warringah, North Sydney and Parramatta LGAs. In his Project Officer role Brett has conducted and participated in flora and fauna surveys on the NSW South Coast, Mid-North Coast, Southern Highlands and throughout the Sydney Region. Additionally Brett has extensive experience in site assessments and preparation of Vegetation Management Plans, Bushland Management Plans and other ecological survey and reporting.

Brett has worked in both the public and private sectors and his 10 years of experience includes water quality monitoring and assessment, interpretation of World Heritage areas as a tour guide, bush regeneration projects supervisor and as an ecologist specialising in native vegetation management, ecological surveying and reporting.

Caragh Threlfall


Caragh is a Project Officer in the Environmental Consulting division. Caragh's experience as Project Officer ranges from flora and fauna assessments, GIS mapping and threatened species management. Caragh has conducted and participated in flora and fauna surveys on the NSW South Coast, Southern Highlands, Mid-North Coast and Sydney Regions.

During her Honours research, she worked in collaboration with State and Local governments and Industry in investigating the threatened Green and Gold Bell Frog and its relationship to the Chytrid Fungus. Specifically, she investigated the ecotoxicology of Bell Frog habitat in relation to the survival of the fungus. Extensive frog surveys were conducted in the Sydney and Illawarra regions as part of her research. Caragh continues to have a strong focus on survey for threatened and non-threatened fauna and GIS mapping in her role with TEC.

Lukas Clews

Lukas is both a consulting ecologist (Botany) within the Environmental Consulting Division. Lukas has been employed with TEC since 2005 and is experienced in working in bushland remnants and urban bushland including TSC and EPBC Act listed Endangered Ecological Communities such as Blue Gum High Forest, Eastern Suburbs Banksia Scrub, Shale/Sandstone Transition Forest, Swamp Sclerophyll Forest, and White Box Yellow Box Blakely’s Red Gum Woodland.

Lukas is trained and certified in Chemical Handling & Awareness, First Aid, and Chainsaw Operations. Lukas has also supervised volunteer groups at Kincumber Creek and has conducted educational planting days for School children.

Andrew Amos

Andrew is Project Manager of the Environmental Rehabilitation and Construction Division and has a long record of success in managing a diverse range of projects, Andrew has also developed our skills in urban stream design and rehabilitation. He has a background in bush regeneration, pest species management and the coordination of labour market programs, and has previously worked for both the Dept of Lands and the EPA.

Andrew is responsible for all elements of project management within his division including business development, client liaison, tendering, contract management, planning, procurement and financial control.

Rilke Kaltenbach

A Site Supervisor in the Environmental Rehabilitation and Construction Division since 2005, Rilke has extensive experience in creekline and ecosystem reconstruction techniques, degraded land remediation and noxious weed management. Rilke also has great depth of experience in the construction industry and brings invaluable skills to our projects involving boardwalk and bridge construction.

With a Masters in Environmental Toxicology, Rilke has a comprehensive understanding of the issues of water and land contamination and the rehabilitation techniques required.
 

Pamela Di Murro

Pamela is a Site Supervisor with the Environmental Rehabilitation and Construction Division with many years experience managing and working on construction projects within environmentally sensitive areas. Having worked both in Local Government and as a Landscaping Contractor, she brings a valuble range of skills to the company.

Pamela’s attention to detail and project management skills enable us to deliver high high quality outcomes to our broad client base.
 

James McGahey

James has been employed at Total Earth Care since 1993. During this time he has worked on large Bush Regeneration and Environmental Rehabilitation and Construction projects. James also has a strong background in construction projects and is well suited as a Site Supervisor for our Environmental Rehabilitation and Construction Division.

A specialty of James’ is in the fabrication of bridges, boardwalks, trash grates and other specialist items made of stone, steel or timber as are required for creek and drainage line reconstructions.

 

Oliver Brown


Oliver has been working in the archaeology and heritage industry in the UK and Australia for 8 years, doing both commercial and academic research on indigenous archaeology.

Oliver's areas of specialty are in survey of Aboriginal archaeological sites, excavation project management, planning advice and archaeofaunal analysis.

 

 

Aaron Mason

Aaron is a Project Manager/Site Supervisor for the Sydney North / Central Coast Region within the Bushland Regeneration Division. Aaron has extensive experience working in and managing bushland remnants and urban bushland and has been employed with TEC since 2001. Aaron is currently supervising projects in a wide range of vegetation communities including TSC Act listed Endangered Ecological Communities such as Blue Gum High Forest, and Lion Island Nature Reserve.

Aaron has previously worked for private contractors including The University of Newcastle (PPE Division) and UBMP. Aaron has also worked for the Government sector completing a ten month tenure as Coordinator of the Berowra Valley Regional Park Trust in 2001. Aaron has managed numerous sites in the Hunter, Central Coast and Sydney Metropolitan Regions.

As a Project Manager and Bush Regeneration Supervisor Aaron has extensive experience in bush regeneration project management that includes tender preparation, forward planning, works supervision, client liaison, reporting and monitoring. Aaron is trained and certified in Chemical Handling & Awareness, First Aid and Chainsaw Operations. Aaron also supervises volunteer groups at Kincumber Creek and has conducted planting days and education walks for School children and the general public.

Stephen Toakley

Stephen has 15 years experience in the bush regeneration, horticultural and landscape industries. Regeneration experience includes sites in the Southerland, North Sydney, Warringah, Randwick, Holroyd, Ku ring gai, Mosman, Pittwater and Waverley LGA's where he has extensive experience with the management of many endangered ecological communities.

Apart from Council clients, Stephen manages contracts for the Department of Defence, Stockland and Landcom.

 

Shannon-Lee Gregory

Shannon is a Project Manager/Site Supervisor for the Sydney West Region within the Bushland Regeneration Division. Shannon has extensive experience working in and managing bushland remnants and urban bushland. Shannon had 3 years experience as a Site Supervisor for a competitor, before being lured to TEC in 2007. Shannon is currently supervising projects in a wide range of vegetation communities including TSC Act listed Endangered Ecological Communities, Cumberland Plains Grasslands and Woodlands.

On top of her vegetation management skills, Shannon has 5 years experience in wildlife rescue, rehabilitation and release. Her detailed knowledge of fauna habitat requirements brings a dimension to her bush regeneration work that few can match.

Shannon utilises her ecological skills in managing many projects across western Sydney including tender preparation, site assessments, reporting and monitoring and delivering on ground works within budget and time constraints.

Glen Burgess

Glen is a Project Manager/Site Supervisor for the Mid North Coast Region within the Bushland Regeneration Division.

Glen has over 7 years experience in managing and rehabilitating bushland areas. Regeneration experience includes sites ranging from Littoral Rainforest at Port Macquarie, rehabilitation of dredge areas along the Hastings River, regeneration of Goolawah Lagoon and flora survey work throughout Kempsey.

 

Jacky Fok

Jacky has been working at TEC for over 3 years as the companys operations and OH&S officer. He is responsible for the maintenance of the company fleet of vehicles, equipment and heavy plant, as well as excavator and chainsaw operations and the provision of on-site supervision when required.

Jacky has over 13 years experience in the automotive trade, is a volunteer firefighter (NSW Rural Fire Service) and has over 6 years experience in conducting fuel management burn and ecological burn operations.

 

Paul Lewis

As HR Manager, Paul manages the staffing requirements of TEC ensuring we have suitably qualified and committed staff for our contractual requirements. As part of this role Paul ensures that all TEC's legal obligations associated with employment such as conforming employment instruments, workers compensation and OH&S are met or exceeded.

As QA Manager, Paul maintains the TEC document management and reporting systems to meet and exceed the stringent requirements of our third party accreditation to AS/NZS ISO 2001:2000.

 

Penny McGahey

Penny is a Director of Total Earth Care and with Andrew McGahey helped establish the business in 1991. Penny's key roles includes business development and administration.

Penny is a qualified Horticulturist and Bush Regenerator. Prior to TEC, Penny spent 3 years managing her own landscaping and garden maintenance business. Penny has 3 years nursery work experience.
